Manchester United legend Andy Cole is one of the club's most successful-ever goalscorers.

Few strikers that have had the honour of representing Manchester United can match Andy Cole's contribution when it comes to goals and trophies.

Cole won the Premier League five times, the FA Cup twice and the Champions League – including the famous treble in 1998/99.

The former England striker scored 121 goals for United but his contribution often went under the radar, especially when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Treble-winning goal at Camp Nou is the one that everyone remembers.

It's worth remembering that United's quest to win the league title in 1999 went to the wire. United needed three points in their final game against Tottenham at Old Trafford, or else Arsenal would have a chance of claiming the title. Had that happened there would've been no iconic Treble.

Tottenham took the lead through Les Ferdinand in the 24th minute, but David Beckham's equaliser brought United level before the break.

Sir Alex Ferguson decided to replace Teddy Sheringham at half-time, with Cole coming on and scoring within two minutes.

Cole plucked the ball out of the air, and gave himself enough time to take a touch before sending his effort past Ian Walker.

United led 2-1.

Speaking to Cole on the latest episode of The Overlap, Neville recalled the goal and was keen to mention his own role in it by supplying the pinpoint pass.

Neville said: "I gave Andrew Cole his most important goal ever. Manchester United's most important goal ever."

Roy Keane weighed in, saying: "The ball was fine, but Coley had to make it."

Neville accepted Keane's point, adding: "Seriously, he had a bit to do, but…" before continuing, "Left foot, 50 yards away, I'm going to drop it in over the centre-back's shoulder.

"Cole just drifted over the shoulder, I spotted the run."

The Treble soon followed.
